GLaDOS claims to need to start the facility back up while she performs the test, and then tells Chell to pace herself because of a numerous amount of tests. During the escape attempt GLaDOS is accidentally reawakened by Wheatley, who is separated from Chell and GLaDOS promptly resumes forcing Chell to complete test chambers.
